My motto is to "get it right the first time"!

Integrity is important to me, so if I feel like my skills aren't a good match for your requirements I will say so.

PLANNING

When you make an enquiry, I will ask for details about the drawings you want created or modified. This may include asking about client standards, CAD software and add-ons, templates, or existing drawings. My aim is to ensure a consistency in how the drawings display. When I work I keep in mind the ANZS standards as well as various stakeholders, which might include - your staff, your client, technicians etc.

With over 25+ years as an engineering draftsperson I can help you to manage pain points, such as - 

  • deadlines,

  • customer requirements for drawing processes and standards,

  • information accuracy,

  • design process flow from proposal to as built handover.

STRATEGY

As a proactive draftsperson I apply a collaborative approach.

 

As part of the drafting process I will -

  • ask questions,
     

  • research information, download datasheets etc
     

  • make suggestions for the display of information based on my experience of working with a range of client standards
     

  • review markups & my own work for legibility and accuracy, while also looking out for inconsistencies in design

RESULTS

Feedback is important to me, so my focus is on keeping my clients feeling like they get value from hiring my services.

 

Having worked in project offices for 25+ years, I have an idea of what makes for an effective drafting process that minimises misunderstandings, errors and rework. 

 

I'm also adaptable, so won't rock the boat unnecessarily. With a long history of contracting for established offices, I'm well used to just sitting down and getting the job done with minimum fuss!
